COVID-19 TTST Practices Canceled

POOL CLOSURES DUE TO COVID-19

Dear TTST Membership,

We write to share the unfortunate news that all swim practices are currently suspended for the next three weeks owing to public health safety concerns surrounding COVID-19 and the resulting closure of the Truckee-Donner Recreation Center pool used for our training. Should the pool re-open prior to the current closure we expect to resume all practices as soon as practically possible. Membership dues of closure will be prorated during this period of inactivity and credited back to your accounts.  For those of you interested in maintaining your base fitness, please email Coach Cyrus Crews will be publishing workouts and inspirational articles on the team Facebook page. Additionally, during this time, the Coaching staff and team leadership will remain in contact with other local swim teams, Sierra Nevada Swimming and USA Swimming in order to stay abreast of any additional opportunities for our athletes and the team.

Please email Coach at (cboyum@gmail.com) if you would like additional any swim guidance or have any other questions about TTST during this time off.

Sincerely,

Cyrus Crews

TTST Board of Directors

From TDRPD:

Truckee-Donner Recreation & Park District

Due to health and safety concerns surrounding COVID-19, all Truckee-Donner Recreation & Park District programs and facilities will close for 3 weeks beginning Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 3. (subject to change, please visit our website for updates).

At the time of issuing this statement, there are still no known cases of the coronavirus in our district. As stated previously, we are working in conjunction with other districts including Nevada County Public Health and the Tahoe-Truckee Unified School District in the effort to prevent the potential spread of the virus.

We are aware that the Recreation and Park District is often a place of community and safe haven during times like this. However, we are committed to taking the necessary steps to help prevent the spread of the virus and re-opening as soon as possible as recommended by the California Department of Public Health.

We will be issuing credit for any prepaid childcare, program participation or facility reservations that are affected during the closure.

Please check  www.tdrpd.org for the most current information.
