Letter from YMCA CEO Andy Page

Just in case you do not get all YMCA communication:

Dear Y Family,

It is with an abundance of caution and in concert with the guidance and recommendations of the State of Michigan, the Center for Disease Control, World Health Organization and the YMCA National Office in efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 that the Grand Traverse Bay YMCA has suspended its operations until Monday, April 6th, 2020. This closing includes the West, South and Central locations.

Our strongest priority is the safety and well-being of our staff, our members and our community as a whole.  With the increasing spread of the Coronavirus and the mitigation of that spread through social distancing, the Y will close for these three weeks and engage in even greater deep cleaning and preparation of our facilities for the April 6th commencement of our services.

Our Child Development Center (CDC) located 1027 McRae Hill Drive will remain open as an essential service but its status will be monitored on a daily basis.

As a non-profit working to advance the health and well-being of our community your support is greatly appreciated and we ask for your patience and continued support as we all navigate these unchartered waters together.

Sincerely,

Andrew Page
