I hope this email finds you all well and safe at home. There is no end in sight to our social distancing. I have been monitoring the SIU Coronavirus page for any updates but currently there are none. The pool is closed and we are all going a little stir crazy. Later in this email I will post the links that I have been putting on our Saluki Swim Club Family page.
Before I get to workouts I want to talk about billing. If you signed up for Spring Monthly, your account will not be charged on April 1. If we are allowed back into the pool before the scheduled end of Spring (May 23) accounts that wish to be active will be charged a prorated amount for the time the pool will be open. If you have already made a payment for Spring, your account will be credited with any balance once we know when we will be allowed in the pool.
I recognize many of you may be out of work right now. If you made a payment for Spring via credit card and would like a refund to that card, email me directly and I will issue a refund to that card. Please note I will only be issuing refunds for Spring any payments for Winter or past meets will not be refunded.
We had a board meeting on Tue 3/24 via Zoom. One of the topics discussed was our meet schedule. For obvious reasons this is up in the air. Once USA Swimming lifts its ban on competitions, we can look at which meets we will attend and host this Spring and Summer.
Once competitions are allowed, we will need our swimmers to be in shape. As I stated earlier, I have been posting links to workout resources for our swimmers. Take a look at each of these and remember that all workouts should be supervised or better yet done together as a family.
All of these are great resources, but as the father of two swimmers I know how hard it can be to get swimmers to do a workout let alone do it correctly. Starting tomorrow I will send out a daily workout designed for G4 swimmers. In addition to the workout there will be a zoom link, access code and time for any swimmers that want to join us for a 30-45 min workout.

Incase your swimmers need added motivation. We will host a weekly workout contest. Post your most inventive/creative fun at home workout to Saluki Swim Club Family. The winner each week will receive a $25 gift card to swimoutlet.com. Workouts must be safe (no juggling chainsaw on a trampoline) and following social distancing protocols.
