2020 Season Update

Hey Foxes!

We hope and pray that you are well and staying safe in your homes. This virus is having a drastic impact on our lives and activities. Mile High Swim League(MHSL) is continuing to follow government and USA swimming guidelines, postponing all swim activities until April 30th. Like the other teams in our division, we will continue to look to MHSL for direction.

Registration. We are planning to have registration up and running on May 1.

Gear. We are working with Out of Breath Sports to provide some fun new gear for this season. We will provide a link in the weeks to come for you to view and order gear online.

Volunteers needed! We would love for a couple people to step into the position of scoring. This small committee will work together to score our home meets, and being part of this committee will fulfill your volunteer requirements! There is a league training for our scoring representatives on May 19 (it will likely take place over zoom). Please email Ruth Ortiz ( islandortiz@gmail.com ) if you are interested!

Our new coach! We are excited to announce that we have hired an amazing new coach for this up-coming season!

Coach Eric Anderssen was born and raised in Littleton, CO. He started swimming at his neighborhood pool when he was 11 years old, and began swimming competitively for ACES swim club at the age of 13. He has an impressive list of accomplishments, including California Junior College State Champion, multiple time high school and collegiate All-American, and 2012 U.S. Olympic Trialist in the 50 Freestyle. He is a graduate of Arapahoe High School and holds a BA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Exercise Science from Concordia University Irvine.

He recently spent two years teaching at-risk children in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. His favorite things to do (other than coaching swimmers) are rock climb and surf. We are so inspired by Coach Eric’s enthusiasm in joining our Foxridge community.

We will be sending out more information this week for those interested in applying as assistant coaches and team captains.

Schedule. Please check in here with Team Unify to see our updated season schedule (subject to change) and practice times.

We will continue to send out communication as things develop and progress.
