I hope you and your families are safe and healthy. I'm excited to announce the Illinois Swimming Officials Web-Based Learning Classroom is live! Although moving from geographically centralized training (hosted clinics) to web-based learning has been on the drawing board for a while (with lots of research on platforms and administration), we made the decision to complete and rollout early given the Covid-19 shelter in place order.
Web-based learning moves Illinois Swimming Officials into the future of learning!
The web-based program includes both independent and guided components using e-learning and virtual conferencing platforms. Web-based learning also provides our official volunteers (parents, relatives, former swimmers, etc.) with the ability to complete their e-learning at their own pace and availability. We've taken away the need for clinic sites, made training universally available, made portions self-directed and self-paced with quizzes and accountability, eliminated seasonality and reduced costs.
Updated Illinois Swimming Officials Site:
The Officials section of the Illinois Swimming website has been updated and the web-based training program is ready for registration. A HUGE thank you to the Officials subcommittee and swim athletes Sean & Molly Yetter.
If you have some time on your hands, now is a good time to become an official or advance!
If you have any questions regarding the web-based learning classroom programs, please email email@example.com.Please allow a few days for a response as volunteers staff the mailbox and I hope to see you on deck soon!
Stay Safe & Healthy!
