Not just yet...

We understand families are anxious to return and we are thankful for that.  SCAT is also doing what it can to educate the decision makers that allow the facility to open.  We have provided studies and specific plans of how practices can still happen while still remaining in social distancing guidelines.  That said, SCAT is NOT allowed to return to practices or meets yet.  This is the reply that we have received from Peachtree City and Kedron officials.  They are our governing body in this regard and we must comply with their standards.    Please know that we will contact our team as soon we are allowed to resume any type of practice or activity again.  In the meantime, we hope your family continues to stay safe.

Subject: Clarification - Park Status Update

On Tuesday, I sent an email with an update on the City’s closures and cancellations. I wanted to take a moment to clarify that practices are also included in prohibited activities at all facilities.

•             Parks are set to open in the near future for individual users.  Group use is still prohibited as physical distancing is important. As of now, this will continue through the summer at all facilities.  This includes field usage at PAC, Meade, Riley,   Braelinn and Glenloch, swimming pools, gymnasiums, classrooms, rinks, tracks and any other City facility I may have left out.

•             Normally scheduled camps, tournaments, try outs, assessments, swim meets and other such activities (including practices) may not take place.
