05.05.20 AquaKids Programming Update!

May 5, 2020

AquaKids SHARKS Parents and Swimmers:

I hope this email finds you and family healthy and safe!

I have received notice that Westminster (as are most schools) is following the guidelines being established by the Florida Department of Education. Currently, they are recommending NO programming at schools until at least June 3rd, 2020! This is disheartening news for us as the CDC states, properly chlorinated pools are safe for swimming!

Consequently, we are still in a suspended mode until further notice!

I have been developing a few different possible scenarios for re-opening depending on anticipated criteria for health safety guidelines from WCS, Dade County and the State!

With this in mind, I, as well as your coaches, do look forward resuming all our programs; Learn-to-swim lessons, Continuing Education (CE) lessons, Swim Team AND Summer Camp at some point this summer under the established guidelines!

You, our current swimmers and parents, will be the first to know of any decisions, announcements and/or any additional information!

As announced prior, we are continuing to post ZOOM Meetings, Dry Land practices (weekly) and small (backyard) pool ‘resistance” or “tethered” swim practices (daily) in the “What’s New” section at aksharks.com! AND, swim team group swimmers (or anyone) can sign up for our “remind” app to receive notices and practice/dry land routine updates! Please text @aquak to 81010 to join!

We are continuing to pray for those who are sick, most affected and those on the front lines in the detection, treatment and prevention of the COVID-19 virus!

Thank you for continuing to be a part of our program!

If you have any questions, please contact me!
