SWMKE is pleased to announce two more speakers to our May SWMKE Speakers Series
Saturday, May 23rd: Amy Belquist will be speaking from 11:00-12:00 AM. Amy is World Ranked and one of the USA's top female backstrokers. At the 2016 Olympic Trials, she just missed making the 2016 Olympic Team by finishing 3rd in the 100 Backstroke and 4th in the 200 Backstroke. Amy has been an American Record Holder (200 Free Relay) and a USA National Team Member. She is definitely one of the favorites to make our upcoming Olympic Team.
At the University of California she received many honors in and out of the pool including Cal's Neufeld Scholar-Athlete Award for having the highest GPA among all senior female student-athletes for 2018-19.
Saturday, May 30th: Zane Grothe will be speaking from 11:00-12:00 AM. Zane is considered USA's top male distance swimmer. He won a number of medals at the 2018 Pan Pacific Games (including a Gold in the 800 Free) at at numerous World Championship Meets.
Zane has set US Open and American records in the 500 Free (4:07.25) and the 1650 Free (14:18.25). He is considered by many to be the USA's top hope for a medal in the distance free events at the upcoming Olympic Games.
