Summer Dryland Registration & Regular Season Update

Hello Barracuda families,

We hope this communication finds you and your families in good health and spirit. The COVID-19 crisis has presented us all with the need to pivot and adjust our lives and routines over the past few months. Our hearts go out to those who have been tragically impacted by this dreadful disease.

We want to thank the first responders, all of whom deserve our appreciation and admiration. That includes healthcare workers, police officers, firefighters and others on the front lines of this fight against COVID-19.

The State of Indiana recently outlined its “Back on Track” plan for recovery over the next few months. Click here for Indiana Back on Track information. Your coaches and board members have worked over the past couple weeks to solicit your feedback and align with these guidelines in an effort to ensure the safest and most effective way to resume our club activities.

Below is a quick outline of the LC Barracudas Re-open Plan:

  • ALL Participants MUST register here in order to participate
  • Dryland training (for the month of June) will be at the discounted rate of $40/athlete
  • Each Participant MUST bring their own bottled water/beverage of choice

Regular Swim Season

Currently, we plan to begin the new regular season in July.  As it stands, USA Swimming has released guidance for returning to the pool and we plan to begin with social distancing procedures in place. However, this will be subject to the outcomes of the Indiana Back On Track plan as well as any federal, state or local government mandates related to youth-related organizations and/or sports entities bans, limitations, restrictions, etc.

We will follow-up within the coming weeks with a more detailed email outlining our proposed training schedule, its structure, and the new experience we have planned for our athletes during this period of the re-open.

Under the guidelines of The State of Indiana’s Back on Track plan, events should be back to full-capacity on or by July 6.  Last, but not least, we will closely follow all recommendations. If anything changes with the Back On Track plan, we will quickly notify you of any necessary adjustments to our schedule.

Thank you for your commitment and support, we are grateful to be part of your child(ren)'s swimming experience.

Stay safe – Stay well!

We hope you see you soon,

LCB Executive Board
