Senior Spotlight – Gretchen Miller
My favorite part about being a part of the Blue Ash YMCA swim team was the community. I always felt so welcome and loved by all my friends, teammates, and coaches. No matter how hard the practice was or how bad I swam they always gave me an excuse to smile and work harder. All of the memories that I have from my 7+ years of swimming will be something that I will carry around with me for the rest of my life.
While I don’t plan on swimming in college I have learned so much through all of my coaches about perseverance, and that is a skill that I will use daily throughout my entire life. Post my swimming career I plan to go to the University of Cincinnati to study Early Childhood Special Education. I cannot thank all of the coaches who have molded me into the swimmer and person that I am today enough.
From Coach Bill – Gretchen was a great teammate, fun to be around and always in good spirits. She gave her best effort at each practice, was a Y ‘AA’ swimmer, and a District swimmer for her HS team. We wish her the best in college and beyond.
