May 29, 2020
At Wednesday night’s NorCal Swim League meeting, the NCSL board voted to formally cancel NCSL’s 2020 Swim Season.
What does this mean?
NCSL is the entity that regulates meets, season records, and our Comstock Conference Championship meet. This means that the Barracudas will not be having meets this season. This is not a big surprise but clearly still a disappointment to see in writing. NCSL has stated that they intend to issue refunds for those $15/swimmer fees for everyone that registered with them.
Hopeful for More
This doesn’t mean the end for the 2020 Barracudas. Coach Andy, Coach Joan, and Rich Wells have been at work creating some concepts for a 2020 swim program. They would like your input. Please fill out the attached google form so that they can assess interest. Please keep in mind that any ideas that are floated out there are contingent upon 1)Placer County reopening pools & 2)Placer County Guidelines
The goal of this swim program will be to give the swimmers a high quality experience with individualized attention (only 8 in the pool at a time) & an opportunity to be coached alongside their peers.
Spare Time and Johnson Ranch Sports Club are responsible for all refunds. The club is working with Team Unify to refund everyone in full. This will take some time, so thank you in advance for your continued patience. You will see refunds come back to your credit card as SE payments (Sports Engine). All questions regarding refunds can be sent to email@example.com.
Please provide us with feedback by Monday
