Hello Paseo Families:
This letter comes with great anticipation and hope that progress is moving forward and in a positive direction. We have been advised by the City of Santa Clarita that June 22nd could mark our return to water. We are working closely with the Santa Clarita Aquatics Center to bring this to fruition.
First and foremost, any return to water will be conducted with a single-minded purpose: the health and well-being of every Paseo Aquatics swimmer, coach and family member. We will install a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for all sites at which we train. While our return to water will represent a new normal, it will bring a much-needed sense of normalcy to our lives.
As we construct a time and duration format, please understand this will be a work-in-progress. Length of practice sessions, number of swimmers permitted, etc. will evolve with each passing week. But know that every Paseo Aquatics athlete and Group will be offered equal opportunity to swim.
It should also be noted that our return to water will follow the protocols set forth by USA-Swimming. Practice sessions will incorporate a very soft regimen of gentle lap swimming for aerobic benefit-- protecting swimmers from injury following the extended layoff.
Please check your emails for additional information over the next several days.
