THE FUTURE OF BAC: SAME PROGRAM - SAME PHILOSOPHY - NEW
BERKELEY EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED VOLUNTEERISM HAS BEEN ELIMINATED AT BAC.
BSA will be active as a fundraising entity, supporting BAC and
the BAC Foundation.
BSA Volunteers will be sought to serve as timers / officials.
Other traditional meet roles will be absorbed and staffed by
BAC. To clarify, BAC will still need volunteers from our
parents. BAC will work hard to earn that volunteerism moving
forward, our goal is that our families will want to volunteer to
give back to our program.
BAC is what it is because of the overall organizational
structure, including the tremendous parent volunteerism which is an
integral part of the fabric of our culture, this remains critical
for our future. BAC is forever grateful for all who have
volunteered and will continue volunteering for the success of our
program and the sport of swimming.
BAC STRONGER TOGETHER
The BAC Scholarship Fund promotes participation in Berkeley
Aquatic Club programs eliminating financial, social and logistical
barriers in accordance with the mission of Berkeley Aquatic Club to
shape and strengthen character through the sport of
swimming.
MISSION: The mission of the Berkeley Aquatic Club is to
develop student-athletes who are a credit to society. The Berkeley
experience tends to shape and strengthen character throughout one's
lifetime. Although Berkeley Aquatic Club strives to develop
champion swimmers, the club measures success not only by national
championships and college scholarships, but also by personal
improvement, both in and out of the pool. Berkeley Aquatic Club is
committed to creating and maintaining a safe and inclusive space
for all athletes to experience the sport of swimming.
VISION: Providing each athlete with the opportunity to reach
his/her potential within a safe and inclusive environment. [
