Swim Team News July 8, 2020
Feels like we’re getting into a groove now…
Kids are working hard, being safe, and even smiling!
Big News - Change in Workout Times
We’re adjusting our swim team schedule midstream.
In order to free up some more pool time for both lap and family swims, we’re streamlining our practice day and using our pool time more efficiently. Kids will still get the same amount of water time. Just our “passing time” and initial workout instructions will be compressed. Dryland will also be slightly adjusted so that we can schedule coaches effectively.
Here’s our new schedule (starting next week) -
MW - 8:00, 8:50, 9:40
F - 8:00, 8:50
T/TH - 8:00, 8:50, 9:40
F - 9:40
MW - 10:30, 11:10, 11:50, 12:30
F - 10:30, 11:10
T/TH - 10:30, 11:10, 11:50, 12:30
F - 11:50, 12:30
T/TH - 8:45, 9:45
M/W - 8:45, 9:45
T/TH - 10:45, 11:45
M/W - 10:45, 11:45
Remember, initially only register for two (2) swim workouts and one (1) dryland. You may fill out TH/F lanes for a third workout after you receive this weekly Wednesday night email. Kids that want an additional dryland workout should wait until one hour before a schedule class to reserve a second spot.
Thanks for keeping the registration lists accurate. We will use this for Covid tracking if the need arises. Remember, the earlier you adjust your workout choice, the more time others have to grab that open lane!
Dryland classes have been walking/running up the pipeline and working out at the top of the hill. Coaches can contact with the pool by phone and do carry a first aid kit. Please do let us know if there are other precautions that we should be taking with your child.
We’ll be posting your swimmer’s time trial results on the Aqua Club website. Once you are logged in, go to “My Account”, and then “My Meet Results”. We’ll update this page every Thursday night. Any other posted league results will be listed in the “News” section of the website.
