2020 season info letter

Hello Canes!

We have some important information in this letter so please read and keep.

***First Day of practice will be August 24th

Our practice times will be as followed:

Divers: 3:30-5:30 PM at Mickle Pool, Monday through Friday

Coach Deloach will be limited to 12 divers at a time so she might have to break the 2 hours into 2 or 3 groups with different start/finish times.  The good news is that you have 5 days of practice per week.

Swimmers:  M-W-F 5:30-7:30 PM at NE and T-Th 5:15-7:15 at Mickle

Coach Ramirez and Coach Kraus are limited to two swimmers per lane so we will have to have multiple groups with different start/finish times.  We will have evals on the first day and will assign swimmers their practice group and time starting with the second practice.

Makos, Gator & Gator Dive club athletes, you are expected to swim/dive with your respective clubs.  If you have an issue please let Coach Kraus know as soon as possible.

***You need to hand in your forms, certs and $250 payment and have them okayed prior to the athletes first practice.  You can turn in the forms early, Friday the 21st of August at the NE Pool.  Our volunteer parent group will be at the picnic tables on the South side of the pool (between pool and MLK center) starting at 7:30 PM.  In addition to the forms all athletes must have completed the three certs: Concussions, Heat Illness & Sudden Cardiac Arrest and they are to be turned in along with the forms.

***Captains will be picked the first week of practice.  If you are interested please text or call Coach Kraus; 304-360-3478

***Please sign the procedural plan that is attached and turn in with other paperwork

***As of now we do not have any regular season meets scheduled but we will work to set a schedule that will be safe and beneficial to all involved.  The State Championship Series is still the same and is set.

***Communication will be through our website as well as spoken at practice.  Captains will also have some responsibilities with communication information to the athletes for the coaches.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact one of the coaches.

Sincerely,

Leonard Kraus
