Seniors Lead Blackshirts to win over Waukesha North/KM

Blackshirts Swim to Win Against Waukesha North/KM

 The Waukesha South/Mukwonago girls swimming team swam to a win tonight at Waukesha North/KM.  The Varsity girls won 115-54 and the JV won 102-47.

The Senior class led the way for the Blackshirts tonight with the team winning 15 of the 22 contested races.

The following swimmers won individual races:

  • Audrey Banske (JV 400m free and 100 backstroke)
  • Abbi Bartosz (JV 100m butterfly)
  • Abby Carlson (Varsity 200 and 400m free)
  • Ashley George (Varsity 100m free)
  • Kendall Gonzalez (Varsity 50m free)
  • Jaedyn Hill (Varsity 100m backstroke)
  • Jordan Kamenz (JV 100m breaststroke)
  • Ellie Wilber (JV 200m freestyle)

Senior Abby Carlson broke two pool records on the evening in the 200 and 400 free.  The 200 free record was previously held by Blackshirt Assistant Coach Maddi Tew set back in 2014 and the 400 free was held by former Blackshirt All-American Abby Jagdfeld set back in 2011.

Up next for the Blackshirts is a home dual meet against Arrowhead on Thursday, September 17.
