|Weekly Update 9/21/2020|
It was a great first week back at practice. I hope all the kids enjoyed getting back in the pool!
A few minor changes for this week:
#1: The First Dolphins group at 2:15- 3:30, had very light enrollment. We have made some have made some changes and will be combining that group, for the time with the other Dolphins and Sharks group. If we get more swimmers, and need to add this practice back in, we will do so later.
#2: With Covid, doing dryland workout as a team will be a challenge. Also, just scheduling is such a challenge. So, we have been working on offering some other solutions. One of the things that we will be doing, is sending out some dryland videos that the kids (and Parents and siblings) can do on their own. I hope that all the swimmer will work 10-15 minutes a day on these exercises. Today, I am sending out a Jumping Jack Series as well as Inchworm. These are all exercises that do not require any equipment, are all pretty easy to do, and target muscle groups important for swimming well. As we add more and more exercises, we will put together a calendar of what we want the kids to do on what day. For now... these are the first two to start working on. We will add a few more each week.
#3: We do also have personal training available online as well as in-person with our training staff for the kids. Please let me know if you have any questions or interest in personal training opportunities.
#4: Please do try to be on time for practice. I understand with everyone working from home, and schooling at home- life happens. If you arrive late, please walk your child to the front desk so that they can get their temperatures taken, and then the kids can go to the pool deck.
