Also, please watch the video attached here before attending your first practice. Coach Fisher from PSC put together a quick introduction for our swimmers to show where to park, how to enter, and where to put your equipment as you filter into the building.

WEEKLY REVIEW

The last week was spent on backstroke with some refreshers in Freestyle and continued building our repetitions in Fly kick. We also got to touch some more Breaststroke work, specifically body alignment and gliding. On Friday, our Casino event went well, with our swimmers doing better than the week before in not only their backstroke races, but improving on their freestyles, where we had more swimmers complete the freestyle wall discipline than before.

LOOKING AHEAD

This week we begin our transition into Rodale with our 9-10s being inside two out of their three practice days. While inside, our swimmers will get to finally start on the Butterfly work we've held off on due to the colder temperatures. On Saturday we will be going over start certifications in preparation for an upcoming meet we are working at getting on the schedule. Please make sure your swimmer is in attendance as without their start certification, they will need to start from in the pool for a race.

WEATHER STATEMENT

  • Warm clothes need to be worn to practice or they have it for when practice is over. T-shirts and shorts are not keeping the swimmers warm. Please make sure your swimmer has at least a sweatshirt and sweatpants on before leaving the house for practice.
  • Swimmers will be waiting outside at Rodale until their practice starts. Swimmers need to be dressed appropriately.
  • Be prepared for some of our younger ones to get out early on Wednesdays, especially as the temperature drops more. 30-45 minutes is showing to be the threshold for our colder swimmers. Please be at the pool 15 minutes earlier than scheduled end time if your swimmer informs you they are starting to get cold.

See you at the pool!
