Hello EMAC Families,
Week of Monday October 12th. There is practice on Columbus Day.
Practice at EMAC will be in Green, practice at Rodale will be in Blue
If your swimmer is scheduled to practice at Rodale Aquatic Center, located at Cedar Crest College. Please fil out the two forms here and bring with you on the first day of practice. If your swimmer does not have a form on file they will not be permitted to swim.
Also, please watch the video attached here before attending your first practice. Coach Fisher from PSC put together a quick introduction for our swimmers to show where to park, how to enter, and where to put your equipment as you filter into the building.

The last week we spent a lot more time committing to our backstroke body alignment, kick, and rotation. We did keep refreshers in practice for freestyle and fly kick. On Sunday, our Casino Royale event went well, where our swimmers showed considerable growth in their backstroke. Standouts from Sunday were Evan Fegley, Evan Larussa, and Derek Haja. Who not only held their backstroke discipline off their walls during the planned races, but also dropped time throughout the events.
This week we will begin our transition into the new schedule, including practices at Rodale. On Sunday, our Green group will go through a start certification process so they can go off the blocks in preparation for our an upcoming meet we are working to get on our schedule. The following week, Blue/Gold and Green will switch their practice times and locations on Friday and Sunday to get Blue/Gold start certified. Please have your swimmer ready to attend their start certification practice so they can go off the blocks at the meet!
- Warm clothes need to be worn to practice or they have it for when practice is over. T-shirts and shorts are not keeping the swimmers warm. Please make sure your swimmer has at least a sweatshirt and sweatpants on before leaving the house for practice.
- Swimmers will be waiting outside at Rodale until their practice starts. Swimmers need to be dressed appropriately.
- Be prepared for some of our younger ones to get out early on Wednesdays, especially as the temperature drops more. 30-45 minutes is showing to be the threshold for our colder swimmers. Please be at the pool 15 minutes earlier than scheduled end time if your swimmer informs you they are starting to get cold.
See you at the pool!
