Before I began the write-up for tonights meet I want to inform everyone that I am working on another meet for next Tuesday that will be held at LCN. The meet will either be a dual meet between LCN and Marysville or a double dual meet between LCN and Marysville and LCN vs Port Huron. More information will follow as I recieve conformation.
What an incredible meet! I wish parents would have been permitted to come watch the Lady Crusaders defeat the Anchor Bay Tars by a score of 94-92. Yes, this was the actual score, the Lady Crusaders won by 2 points!
The teams pretty much traded the lead throughout the beginning of the meet. I think the turning point of the meet occurred during the 100 Free. This was a great event because not only did the team place 1-2-5, but Lauren Paris set the pool record at the Anchor Bay Aquatic Center in this event (even though she thought I was nuts when I told her she could do it after her performance in the 200 free).
After the100 Free, the team had a lead and they just needed to maintain the lead. The team swam extremely well and maintained their lead through the remainder of the meet to claim the MAC White Dual Meet Championship.
The following swimmers helped the team attain the victory by attaining their best times in the following events: 200 Free - Chloe Anderson, 200 IM - Emma Bauer, AnnDee Geddes, Samantha Tauriainen, 50 Free - Ali Holk, 100 Fly - AnnDee Geddes (tied) & Paige Kloka, 100 Free - Emilia Ridderikoff & Jenna Loyal, 500 Free - Ali Holk, 100 Back - Samantha Tauriainen, Jenna Loyal & Chloe Anderson & 100 Breast Paige Kloka.
