Rescheduled NNA Intrasquad meet sanctioned for 11/1

As most of you know, we had to reschedule the swim meet originally scheduled for October 18th, and I'm happy to say we have received the official sanction to hold the meet to November 1!  The meet will run the same as the original plan, and is still completely free.  The point of this meet is to reward swimmers for their months of hard work at practice, and to record some Official times for swimmers who are trying to qualify for college teams and championship meets.

Thanks to generous donations,we will have ribbons for “Top Time Drop” in each event and age group, and we will also have a short Pizza Party in the park for families who hang around after the meet.  Find more information on the meet under the “Events” tab on the NNA website.

Event adds, drops and changes - Unfortunately, there are a few swimmers who cannot attend the new date, but that does open a few opportunities to add some other swimmers who would like to swim.  If you need to drop out of the meet, or want to make a change in events (see the heat and lane assignment sheet on the website for the current entries), please email Erik ASAP so we can open spots for other swimmers.  If you have not registered and would like to get on the wait list to be added to the meet, please complete the “Fillable Entry Form” in the “Event” section of the NNA website and email that to Erik.

Timers – We still hold out a little hope that the City might increase capacity limits in the facility to allow spectators, but that is not likely.  As of now, the only way to watch your kids swim from inside the pool is to volunteer (we are still planning a private NNA Zoom feed for swimmers families).  We have 20 or so spots for timers as well as a couple of other volunteer opportunities.  Per the latest Governors Directive and Pacific Swimming guidelines, all team volunteers working in the facility need to have had a negative COVID test at some time since March.  If you would like to volunteer, please email me at [email protected] and either let me know you have received a negative COVID test, or I can provide you with information on free testing.

USA Swimming IMR, IMX, Motivational and Official times –  Since this is an officiated and sanctioned meet, times are “Official”, and tracked by USA Swimming.  If you have a swimmer with dreams of a college scholarship or even Olympic trials one day, USA swimming has a few tools to help motivate your swimmer.  For more information, go to and register for a “Deck Pass”.  you can also view the Pacific Swimming “Motivational Times” and “Time Standards” for Junior Olympics, Far Westerns or Sectionals on the NNA site under “Team” and then “Time Standards”.

Thank you all for your time, and I'm looking forward to seeing you at the pool!
