INTERNATIONAL SWIM LEAGUE: Swimming on TV!!!! The ISL describes themselves as "the world's first professional team swimming league where a unique competitive format and raucous in-venue atmosphere create a celebration of gender equity and global footprint... not just unique in swimming, but in the world of sports at large."

The league was founded in 2019 and is made up of 10 global clubs with top female and male swimmers. The North American teams are the Cali Condors, DC Trident, NY Breakers, LA Current and Toronto Titans. The International teams are the Aqua Centurions (Rome), Energy Standard Paris (2019 ISL Champions), London Roar, Team Iron (Budapest) and Tokyo Frog Kings.

The competitions will be broadcasted across the CBS Television Network, CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports Digital. To see the schedule for the next few weeks, check it out here!  Go Frog Kings (because I’ve never cheered for a team with a cooler name than FROG KINGS!!!!!!!)

EQUIPMENT DECORATING: We will host a swim equipment decorating contest through the end of the month.  Send your photos with your decorated kickboard, pull buoys, fins and paddles.  We hope to have a slideshow with all the festive equipment. There will be prizes for the most creative equipment personalizing. (This is also a sneaky way for us to get you to label your gear so we know it’s yours when you accidentally leave it behind!)

CLINICS and STROKE INSTRUCTION: We’ve uploaded all the November dates into the schedule.  Check them out under the “ Swim Lessons & Clinics” link on our homepage.

WINTER SESSION REGISTRATION: We hope to have the schedule up by next week (still waiting on a few families to fill out the planning form) with registration opening shortly after that.  We are pleading with the health department now about adjusting regulations on pools to accommodate additional swimmers.  Once registration opens,  all current members will have priority for at least 4 days to sign up for a spot in the Dec-Feb session. ALL swimmers in ALL groups will need to register for the next session if they would like to continue after 11/21.

ZOOM ON DECK: To observe practice from your mobile device, please use www.zoom.us:

  • Crossgates’ meeting code is 225 668 6688 with the password “team”
