Recently Head Coach and Team Owner Southern Maine Aquatic Club 2014 - present.  SMAC has spent many seasons with BAC – shared practices, meets, training trips, and I am excited to join the BAC family from afar.   Former Head Coach Coastal Maine and assistant coach Westbrook Seals 2000-2014.  ASCA Level 5 certified for education. ASCA Level 4 certified for performance.  ASCA Coach of the year for Maine Swimming in 2004 and 2006.  Assistant Coach for the 2006 Eastern Zone Select Camp in Annapolis, Maryland.  Assistant Coach for the 2010 National Select Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Maine Swimming Board of Directors held positions from 2005 - 2016:   Finance Chair, Senior Vice Chair, Age Group Chair, and Representative at the Eastern Zone meetings in Florida 2010 - 2015.  Maine's delegate at the USA Swimming Convention in California, and Representative at the Western Safe Sport meetings in Denver, Colorado.  Helped over 70 athletes reach the Sectional, Grand Prix, Junior National and Senior National levels. Assisted over 65 athletes get recruited to Division I programs, and helped many other athletes attend and swim at Division II/III, Ivy League, and NESCAC schools and secured thousands and thousands of dollars towards their college education.

Having established the first Coach-owned USA team in Southern Maine and having raised 4 children who all went on to Division I swim programs, I have been involved in competitive swimming for over 40 years.  Early on, I taught as a Red Cross Swim instructor.  Devoted to coaching children of all levels, I enjoy guiding the very young and novice athlete all the way up to the nationally ranked athlete. I hold a BA in Child Development and Classical Civilization from Connecticut College and have earned all credits for an MA in Teaching Latin and Classical Humanities from Boston University.
