Blaze Winter Season Suspended

Blaze Parents and Swimmers:

The Johnston School Board approved a recommendation today (Nov 10) to shift to 100% online learning. The school district is seeking a waiver from the Dept of Education to remain in an online learning model through November 24. No activities will be allowed in JCSD buildings while the district is in an online learning model.

For that reason and after meeting with Emily and Bre, we have made the decision to suspend our Winter Season effective immediately. We will not practice tonight (Nov 10) or through the duration of the online learning period.

Our plan is to "pause" the winter season and then get back to swimming as soon as we are able. It is impossible to know what the future holds, so we are asking for a little bit of patience as we work through these challenges.

  • When we re-start our season, you will recieve a partial refund for missed practices.
  • If the season is delayed for a long period of time, we will make a decision on how to best handle that at a later time.
  • If you are not interested in waiting this out and would like to withdraw from the winter roster, please contact Scott Kruthoff at [email protected] I will remove you from the roster and issue a full refund.
