Today is the LAST DAY to sign-up for our Saturday, Dec
19th Dual Meet with TOC. The entry deadline for
the meet is this today Friday, December
11th. All entries will be submitted through our team
website. Get signed up TODAY!
LOCATION: Cunningham Pool (801 Heartwood Ave,
Vallejo CA 94591)
TIME: Warm-ups will be from 7:30-8:15am
for Junior, Pre-Senior and Senior Groups and 8:30-9:00am for
Leopard, Mako and Hammerhead Groups. Meet will start
at 9:00am
EVENTS: Each
swimmer may enter a max of
4 events. Make sure to spread your events out
and not enter events that are back to back. This will be
a another very fast meet.
Hammerheads - Please talk to your coach
about what events to swim. Your coach needs to approve your events.
Hammerheads are only to swim events they are ready for and the
coach has approved them to swim.
Leopard & Mako
Groups - Please enter a variety of events and make
sure to spread your events out (do not swim back to back events).
Coaches recommend swimming shorter distance
events at your first meet or two to get back in the swing of
things. Contact your coach if you want help on choosing your
events.
JR/PSR/SR: Please swim a variety of
events. Contact your coach if you want help on choosing your
events.
ENTRY
FEE: $30 participation flat fee per athlete. All
entry fees will be billed to the athletes team account on
file.

COVID-19 POOL & SAFETY
UPDATE
As
you all know, we have experienced an increase in COVID-19 cases in
our city, county and state. If a "Stay At Home Order" does go into
place for Solano County the Cunningham Pool will remain open. We
will continue to run practices as usual. However, all meets will be
canceled duing a "Stay At Home Order".
As we
are coming into cold and flu season, we also want to remind
everyone to adhere strictly to our safety protocols. Please make
sure to keep your swimmer home if they answer yes to any of the
following:
--Swimmer has had a fever in the
last 24 hours.
--Swimmer has experienced the
following in the last 24 hours: cough, shortness of breath or
difficulty breathing, chills, headache, sore throat, new loss of
taste or smell or other symptoms related to COVID-19 as listed by
the CDC.
--A member of the swimmer’s
household has symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19.
--Swimmer has been exposed to
someone who has symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19 within the
last 14 days.
REMINDER - VJO TEAM SUITS &
CAPS MANDATORY AT ALL MEETS
This is a reminder that VJO Team Suits and Team Caps are mandatory
at all meets. I know it has been close to 10 months since most of
our swimmers have competed and it has been brought to my attention
that many of our VJO swimmers team suits are too small now. Please
do your best to be in a VJO team suit at the upcoming meet.
If your old team suit does not fit please get a new team suit
ordered ASAP. Contact Coach Jennifer if you have any problems with
your team suit for the upcoming meet on November 14th. Below
I have included the link and info to order a VJO team
suit.

through Elsmore Swim Shop for all of our
Team Suits, Team Parkas and Team Apparel. You can now start

*Swimmers in the Hammerhead Groups swim one per
lane. Swimmers in the Leopard, Mako, Junior, Pre-Senior,
Senior and Masters Groups will swim two per
lane and from oposite sides of the pool..
*All groups’ practice times include a 15
minute line up time at the beginning for symptom
checks, temp checks and lane assignments. Groups will
line up along the side gate of the pool and then be escorted by
their coach to the Main entrance. Please remember there is no
shared equipment allowed. Swimmers must come to practice in their
suits and with their own equipment
PRACTICE PROTOCOL PROCEDURES-
CUNNINGHAM POOL
All VJO swimmers and families attending practice at the
Cunningham Pool must read through our "Practice Protocol
Procedures" PDF for Cunningham Pool. We need all swimmers to
know what to expect when they arrive for practice at the Cunningham
Pool. The PDF will teach our swimmers the new protocol and
procedures that we will be following at the Cunningham Pool.
These procedures are similar to both the American Canyon and
Benicia Pool.
