Minnetonka Aquatics Community,
I want to introduce myself to those involved in the Minnetonka
Aquatics Program. My name is Ted Schultz, and I am the
Activities Director at Minnetonka High School. I lead the
athletic, club and activities programs for Minnetonka High
School. I have been a high school Activities Director for more
than 20 years, the past 11 at Minnetonka. With the recent Aquatics
Director resigning his position, I will be supervising the
Aquatics Program in the interim period during the search for his
replacement.
I want to ensure all members of the Aquatics community, from the
Learn to Swim Program to the Masters' Program and everything in
between, that the current Aquatics Staff and I are committed to
providing the highest level quality in our offerings of
Aquatics programming in a COVID-19 safe environment. The
current staff is well-versed, experienced and talented in what
they do. You are in great hands. During the transition, we
remain ready to open programming when cleared by the
Governor. We will continue to increase our virtual
presence and to communicate continuously with our
community.
The District's Human Resources Department will post the
position for the Aquatics Director and lead the search. The
HR team has a strong outreach strategy planned to find an
exemplary candidate. The job posting closes on January 29,
2021 with the hopes of filing the position in the month of
February. We will reach out to the Aquatics community and seek
input through surveys and focus groups in the coming weeks. In the
