Dear Super Bronze and Super Squad Families,
I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe during this Holiday Season! We as a Wahoo staff would just like to thank you again for bearing with us during these times. We are all working together to make sure everyone stays safe, while being able to still train as a team. Just a few updates and reminders as we close out this 2020 year.
Today at 5:30, will be our last Super Bronze/Super Squad dryland until the New Year.
*Reminder* Please, read coach Eric’s e-mail update from yesterday regarding future practice lane sign-ups.
- Super Squad, with only one practice a week, has been able to accomplish quite a bit in the short amount of time we’re given. Only having four swimmers a pool, Coach Eric and I can give constant feedback. Super squad is learning how to read the pace clock, use it to do repeat sets, and be able to tell how long it took them to get down the pool. Along with reading the pace clock, we are increasing the number of yards we are doing within a practice. Of course, with the increased yardage, we are working on great fundamental practice habits.
- Super Bronze is following closely behind Super Squad. We are working on reading the pace clock and being able to tell our time for a given swim. Super Bronze is also learning on our underwater streamlines, kicking up to the surface while holding the streamlines, and legal turns and finishes for each stroke.
From our coaching staff to our awesome Wahoo Families, we would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy Holidays! We would also like to thank everyone for the generous gifts. It is truly appreciated, and we are very lucky to be apart of such an great team.
If anyone has any questions, comments, or concerns. Please, feel free to reach out to Coach Eric or I at any time! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
