Happy New Year and welcome to 2021! We hope you have had a restful and safe holiday season.
We wanted to give you an update on the upcoming Spring Swim Season!
Planning for the season has started!
Well, sort of…As we turn our attention to the upcoming swim season, January is typically when we would be kicking off our communications with registration emails, details about when practices start and when our first social gatherings will be happening. Unfortunately, there are still many questions, most at the County level, that need to be answered in order for the Marin Swim League (MSL), as well as LVST, to confidently move forward with the upcoming Spring season. Understandably, as of right now, there is still uncertainty as to if there will be a Spring swim season. We will continue to follow the rules and advice of the Marin County Health Department.
That said, we are hopeful and have started having conversations
about what things may look like. Assuming we do have a Spring
season, the MSL reported in December that the season will
start no earlier than April 1, 2021. The MSL is meeting
later in the month, at which point we hope to hear more concrete
information about the upcoming season.
Our goal is to continue to keep you in the loop as far as planning
goes and we commit to keeping you up to date as soon as we have
more information to share, which we anticipate to be in late
January or early February.
