Dear York Parents and Swimmers,
As we are about to enter the 11th month of the pandemic we want to thank you all for your continued vigilance with regards to the health forms and protocols put in place. It is because of that we have remained able to continue to have York swimmers in the pool. The excitement of the vaccine beginning to roll out has many of us looking towards the light at the end of the tunnel.
However, we aren’t there yet and we have had a significant rise in the amount of exposure notifications and positive tests this month within the York community. While we want you to continue to remain optimistic – we also must insist that you remain vigilant in the recommended precautions set out by the CDC and local and state health department guidelines. This is the ONLY WAY we will continue to be able to offer practices for the YORK community.
We are hoping to have meets available for our swimmers in the upcoming months however there is a very real possibility that we would need to shut down practices and come to a complete stop if things continue as they are, which is the last thing we want to do.
We are truly all in this together and need to be sure we can continue to contain our York bubble as much as possible for as long as it takes so we can also continue to keep our swimmers in the water doing the sport they love.
Take Care – Wear a Mask,
