A MESSAGE FROM COACH TODD
Greetings Wahoo Families and Swimmers,
It is so heartwarming to see our swimmers back in the pool on a daily basis with one another and getting back to training in some positive format.
As the Wahoo staff begins to construct our team’s competitive landscape to carry our swimmer through the conclusion of our short course season and into Long course season, we face some challenges.
We will move forward with the planning of our inter-squad meet at the end of this month. Joann will repost the sign up for this racing opportunity, as some of you may have had a brief glance at it earlier this week. Our need for us to move forward in what may become a “potential” opportunity for racing is primarily for logistics and planning purposes.
The Town of Wilton is currently designated in “RED” due to Covid19 cases, but the great news is numbers are going down and our hope is that when, and if the town dips back into the “ORANGE” classification, we will see guidelines soften up and allow us the opportunity to move forward with the inter-squad event.
We are also in the process of planning two other racing opportunities at other YMCAs in March!
So – please make sure to sign up for the inter-squad meet in a timely fashion as planning for this opportunity is extensive. We are looking forward to this event in hopes that we will be able to offer it – which is directly linked to the color code classification in which Wilton sits.
We trust you understand and your support and understanding is greatly appreciated.
All my best,
Director of Competitive Aquatics
