News from the Pool- Week of February 14
WELCOME TO THE SPRING SESSION: We look forward to the 2/15-4/10 session with your swimmers. Thank you all for filling out the activity forms so promptly. This really helped get our rosters set to start the session tomorrow. For those of you traveling this week, we will see you upon your return. If you are traveling outside of the 150 mile radius from home, we will look forward to your swimmer’s return after their 10 day quarantine. (If this health directive changes, I will let you all know as soon as I do!)
SATURDAY TIME TRIAL EVENTS: If your swimmer hasn’t gotten to experience the time trial events, I think they would love the opportunity to get some more pool time in, race in a low key setting and enjoy the “mini swim meet” atmosphere. We have been doing these for the past few months and they are really fun. In a bit over 90 minutes, we have them warmup, race in 2-3 races and warmdown. It’s a great way for us to see how they are progressing. RSVPs are on the “ events” page of the website. All time trial events are complimentary.
SUNDAY LAP SWIM: We will be starting our Sunday morning lap swim next week. Swimmers can sign up for these slots through the “ events” page of the website. Classes are $10/swimmer (complimentary for Varsity and Senior swimmers.) Team members can do their own “lap swimming”, work with the coach on stroke specific skills or do the provided workout. Come give it a try!
