PRACTICE CHANGES
There is no Senior practice or Junior practice on Sunday,
February 21, due to the meet. Minis practice on Sunday,
February 21, will be at Pike Creek from 11:30 AM-12:30 PM.
Saturday's practices at New Castle for Seniors, Juniors, and Minis
will remain the same.
There will be no morning practices for the Senior group
from now until after the Delaware High School State Meet has
concluded.
There is no dryland for the Senior group through the next
week. Seniors NC2 will begin at 6:30 PM on the weekdays for
the next week.
WEEKEND PRACTICE SIGN-UPS
The weekend practice schedules for the Senior, Junior, and
Mini groups reflect the practice schedule for this weekend, due to
the swim meet. Please make note of the times and locations
that are mentioned.
KYFW Program groups do not have sign-up pages because as
weekend-only groups, all weekend practices are open to swimmers by
default.
PIRATE PLUNGE A/BB/C MEET
As announced last week, the second day of the Pirate
Plunge A/BB/C Meet will take place this Sunday, February 21.
The period to scratch from this Sunday's session, and not be
billed for scratched events, has closed. All events for the
meet this Sunday are final.
Volunteer positions were reopened, and are still open until
Friday night, February 19. Volunteers are still needed
for both the morning and afternoon sessions. You can sign up to volunteer
here.
If you would like to earn volunteer service points but do not
feel safe volunteering at the meet, the other approved way to earn
volunteer points is by donating gift cards for Delaware Swim Team
to give to officials. We give gift cards to officials because
officials use their own money to get certified as officials, in
order to work your swimmer's meets. If you would like to
donate a gift card in order to thank our officials, you can sign up here.
Other information for this Sunday will be sent
separately. With the state now allowing 6 swimmers per lane,
we may have more than the previous 4 swimmers per lane, at the
discretion of the meet referee.
CONTRACT EXTENSIONS
If your swimmer is on a Session 1 & 2 contract, your
swimmer will be done with Delaware Swim Team on Sunday, February
28. If you would like to extend your swimmer's contract to
Session 3, which covers March through May, please email Coach Matt
at [email protected] as soon as
possible. Session 3 will then be billed automatically on
March 1.
SPRING PRACTICE SCHEDULE
The State of Delaware is allowing 6 swimmers per lane,
beginning last Friday, February 12. As a result of these
changes, the administrative staff will be modifying the practice
schedule for some groups at each location. Any changes will
go into effect on Monday, March 1. Changes to the schedule
will be sent out later in February.
SUMMER SWIM LEAGUE ZOOM MEETING
There will be an informative Zoom session today, February 17,
at 6:30 PM with Jamie Mack, Chief of Health Systems Protection for
the Delaware Division of Public Health - DHSS. This
presentation will focus on Summer 2021 for summer swim
leagues. Any summer swim team representatives from SSL, NBSL,
or other summer swim leagues are encouraged to attend. Below
