2021 Eastern Zone
March Sectional Championships Christiansburg,
VA
There was extensive
discussion among the Technical Committee surrounding the format and
structure of the EZ 2021 Winter Sectional Meet to be hosted in
Christiansburg, VA. The Ithaca and Buffalo Sectional Meets
have been cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions. In order to
maximize competitive opportunities to athlete members of the
Eastern Zone, and to meet all COVID-19 protocols in the State of
Virginia, the following were MSA (Motioned,
seconded and approved) for the 2021 EZ Super Sectional March
Meet:

TWO THREE DAY MEETS provided there is sufficient

Meet A: Friday March 26 – Sunday March 28
2 Sessions Friday, 3 Saturday, 3 Sunday
Meet B: Tuesday March 23 - Thursday March

A Meet Announcement and
order of events will be
forthcoming.
OME will be set
up for the Friday – Sunday meet, March 26th
– 28th. Payment for entries will be by check
only. Once the athlete cap is met (based upon the date and
time entries are submitted), the second meet will be created and
all teams will be notified as to their status for the meet.
Teams that don’t “make the cut” for the first
meet will be contacted as verify their interest in participating in
the Tuesday – Thursday meet, March 23rd –
25th. If they choose to participate on those days,
the entries already submitted through OME will be automatically
entered into the meet. Again, acceptance into the Tuesday
– Thursday meet will be based upon the date and time entries
were originally submitted.
All teams
planning to come to the meet should enter the Friday – Sunday
meet. If the number of entries is
sufficient to warrant a second meet at the beginning of that week,
teams can specify their preference of meet, either Friday –
Sunday or Tuesday - Thursday.
