CA/NV Sectionals 2021

Many congratulations to our sectional swimmers Kate A, Paige A and Simon S who successfully and safely competed in last weekends’ sectionals’ meet. The competition was very well run and of high caliber. Kate and Paige achieved new personal best times in almost every event and both were able to qualify for finals on Sunday afternoon. 

Simon had an outstanding meet, achieving new Summer Junior National times, US Open Times and even breaking the 50y Freestyle Pacific Swimming record from 2014 in a whooping 20.11, which currently ranks him in the top 5 of the country for his age group.

Next Round of Camps

Our current round of camps is coming to an end on Sun, April 4th. There will be changes for the next round of camps starting Mon, April 5th, which will likely last until the end of our 2020/21 season (end of summer). 

The State and County has made a lot of changes to Youth Sport guidelines and we are currently working with our facilities on how to implement these changes. 

You can expect:

Changes in timetable, with swimmers in camps 1 through 4 possibly swimming at all locations (Emma Hood, Encinal, MSC and ECCL) and all other camps swimming at possibly Encinal, MSC and ECCL.

Larger group sizes (possibly up to 28 swimmers per camp), as long as we can make 6 feet guidelines work and maintain a safe environment for our athletes.

Please let Coach Stefan know by the end of Today (Monday), March 15th if your swimmer would like to drop out, or be put on our inactive roster until the end of the summer. Important; we cannot guarantee a spot until the fall, if your swimmer decides to take a break now. 

If you are on our inactive roster and would like to return for the next round of camps starting April 5th, contact Coach Stefan by Today (Monday), March 15th. 

You don’t need to do anything, if your swimmer would like to continue to swim until the end of our season. Hopefully we will be able to announce more details within the next few weeks. As always, we appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work through these changes!
