Dear North Texas Swimming Members,
It has been over a year since the pandemic began and the North
Texas Board of Directors has worked diligently to support our
athletes and teams in navigating through these trying times.
We focused on the best way to reopen and resume competition,
and with the support of all of our volunteers and teams, we have
been able to successfully provide these opportunities for our
athletes to safely compete. As we look across the country, we
feel very fortunate as we are one of a few LSCs that has been able
to run so many sanctioned meets during this pandemic.
As we move forward, and strategically plan beyond the pandemic, we
are restating already established processes with relevant
practices.
In order for our athletes to have better anticipation and planning
for forthcoming meets, we are updating the calendar and meet bid
process. We have made proposed updates to the Policy and Procedures
to support proper implementation of our NTSI meet calendar and the
meet bid process. Attached is the calendar and Policy &
Procedures the NTSI Board has approved which will be up for
ratification in the April HOD meeting. In the interim, as teams are
planning for meets in the upcoming months, Sanctioning Chairs will
follow the attached calendar and sanctioning process. Exception
requests can be submitted to the Board for consideration.
