MS Swimmers Represent at DII NCAAs

Congratulations to MS Swimming alumni competing a NCAA DII Championships in Birmingham, AL this weekend.

Former Shockwave swimmer, Celeste Turner, now swimming for Delta State, grabbed her first individual National Championship title in the 200 Butterfly with a time of 1:58.29!! Celeste has two additional top 8 scoring finishes this weekend in the 100 Fly (5th) and the 200 Freestyle (8th). She has also been a member of the 200 Medley, 200 Free and 800 Free Relay teams. Congratulations Celeste!

Sunkist alum, Kham Glass, is also swimming at NCAAs this weekend with Drury. Kham had a top 8 finish in the 50 Free (7th) with a time of 19.84. Kham’s other events include the 200 Free (25th), the 100 Back (15th) He also swam on the National Championship winning 200 and 400 Free Relay teams. Awesome job Kham!

GCSC member, Stephen Jones, represented Henderson State University in this year's NCAAs DII meet. Stephen grabbed a top 8 finish in the 200 IM with an A final time of 1:49.15 (8th). Stephen's other races included the 100 fly (11th),100 back (21st) and the 100 free (24th). Great Job Stephen!
