WOW, What a Finish

NFS had a strong showing at last weekend's Florida Swimming Age Group Championships (FLAGS).  We placed 15th overall out of about 50 teams and a good number of teams that finished behind NFS had many more swimmers than NFS.  Congratulations to all that participated!  Some of the high points include:

  • Jackson Skigen placed 1st in the 50 breast and was 3rd in overall point standings
  • Tyler Watson placed 1st in the 200 IM and was 5th in overall point standings
  • Lauren Johnson placed 3rd in the 50 fly and achieved a AAAA time
  • We had 5 swimmers (out of 11) qualify for All Stars, meaning they had to finish in the top 6 of an individual event.  One of those swimmers was Julian Smith at age 8.

These are just a few of the fantastic results from this weekend's meet.  Stay tuned for more information combined with the Senior Championship results!

Good luck to those swimming this weekend, Rachel Nichols, Brendan Johnson, Grayson Gibson, Michael O'Shea, David Li and Jason Boatright.  Swim Fast and Go NFS!
