Clippers Look Strong With a Young Group

Clippers 14 and under JO qualifiers made the trip to Bowling Green, Ohio this past weekend.  We finished with a strong 3rd place with a very young team.  Our 11-12 girls won their age group in dominating fashion.  The 11-12 boys and 13-14 boys finished 3rd respectively.  Amanda Smith finished 3rd in the 11-12 girls high point and Jake Lentsch finishing 2nd for the 11-12 boys.

Clippers had an LSC record breaking swim this past weekend.  Jake Lentsch broke teammate Mikey Summe’s 50 breaststroke LSC record going 29.47 and becoming the first 11-12 boy in Ohio LSC history to go under :30 in all four 50s.   

We also had a few team records go down this past weekend.  Congratulations to:

·         Mackenzie Skaggs – 8&Under 100 fly

·         Joey Novak – 9-10 boys 100 fly

·         Jake Lentsch – 11-12 boys 50 breast and 100 fly

·         Mikey Summe – 13-14 boys 100 breast

·         11-12 girls 400 Medley Relay of Sophie Skinner, Maddie Vonderhaar, Abby Shoyat, and Amanda Smith

 

Event winners include:

·         Jake Lentsch – 50 breast, 100 breast, 50 fly, 200IM

·         Mikey Summe – 100 breast

·         Amanda Smith – 200 IM

·         Joey Novak – 100 fly

·         11-12 girls 400 Medley Relay of Sophie Skinner, Maddie Vonderhaar, Abby Shoyat, and Amanda

Congratulations to all swimmers this past season.  Our coaching staff is very proud of each and every one of you!  We are looking forward to a very exciting and fun filled summer.  Keep working hard and the sails of our Clipper ship will be full and we will be back on top!
