Greetings Aquacowboys Swimmers, Parents and Coaches. It has been a fun Spring Break week coming off an awesome Far Western meet. This update will be short, as many people have been gone from practice during Spring Break, but there are a few important topics to cover.
Here is a quote for the week:
“Wonder is the beginning of knowledge.” Greek Proverb
We talked about the importance of wonder today at morning practice, and how being in a state of wonder helps us to appreciate our surroundings and to learn more. Hopefully everyone is having a wonderful Spring so far.
I experienced a state of wonder watching Far Westerns and some of the great swims from our team at the meet. Here are some highlights:

BREAKOUT SWIM CLINIC With Olympians Josh Davis and Megan Jendrick, May 1st – This will be a great opportunity to learn from some of the best swimmers in history. Josh Davis was a four time gold medalist in 1996 and a two time gold medalist in 2000. He is the former American Record holder in the 200 freestyle. Megan Jendrick won gold medals in both the 2000 and 2008 Olympics in the breaststroke. Between the two of them, we will get excellent instruction in all 4 strokes. Also, Josh Davis gives a great message about goal setting, attitude, nutrition, and teamwork.

Between April 24th and April 30th pay $60
On May 1st pay $65
This has been set up by our team for a great educational opportunity. We hope to have at least 60 swimmers sign up and we will limit attendance to 80 swimmers. Please reserve your space sooner than later as it will be an excellent learning experience.
See’s Candy Fundraiser- Please contact Teresa Davis for information on this great fundraiser. This is your last fundraising opportunity of this season.
Thanks all Aquacowboys Families for the enthusiasm and effort you put into making this team great. Special thanks to all BOD members and volunteer parents who do so many of the tasks which help our team run efficiently. I hope everyone is having a great Spring Break and am eager to see everyone next week.
