The RAYS are excited to
announce our hiring of Kim Seaman as the East Lead Coach. Kim
starts with the RAYS on June 1st
Coach Kim's bio
Coach Kim Seaman is a graduate of Emory University with a
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Coaching.
She has a long history with competitive swimming in the
Atlanta area including having swum for Emory University's
Varsity Swim Team which won the NCAA Division III National
Championships both years she swam on the team (2005 and
2006). Prior to her time as an Emory Eagle swimmer, she swam
competitively for her summer league swim team, Marist School, and
Dynamo Swim Club. She continues to swim today as a USA Masters
swimmer, giving her a current, yet rising, total of 22
years of experience as a competitive swimmer herself.
Kim also has years of experience as a Swim Coach for
various summer league, school, and USA club teams here in the
Atlanta area. Having had academic courses in subjects such
as sports psychology, biomechanics, and physiology, Kim has a
strong foundation from which she builds her coaching
philosophy and techniques. She has coached swimmers of all ages but
has primarily worked with youth swimmers ages 12 years and younger.
She loves coaching kids the important fundamentals of swimming
as well as encouraging them to reach for their dreams in and out of
Coach Kim joins Stingrays in June 2011 to serve as the Lead Coach
for the ECST facility. She looks forward to coaching Stingrays
swimmers on to great success in the sport and in life.
