Coach Kim's bio

Coach Kim Seaman is a graduate of Emory University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Coaching. She has a long history with competitive swimming in the Atlanta area including having swum for Emory University's Varsity Swim Team which won the NCAA Division III National Championships both years she swam on the team (2005 and 2006). Prior to her time as an Emory Eagle swimmer, she swam competitively for her summer league swim team, Marist School, and Dynamo Swim Club. She continues to swim today as a USA Masters swimmer, giving her a current, yet rising, total of 22 years of experience as a competitive swimmer herself.
Kim also has years of experience as a Swim Coach for various summer league, school, and USA club teams here in the Atlanta area. Having had academic courses in subjects such as sports psychology, biomechanics, and physiology, Kim has a strong foundation from which she builds her coaching philosophy and techniques. She has coached swimmers of all ages but has primarily worked with youth swimmers ages 12 years and younger. She loves coaching kids the important fundamentals of swimming as well as encouraging them to reach for their dreams in and out of the pool.
Coach Kim joins Stingrays in June 2011 to serve as the Lead Coach for the ECST facility. She looks forward to coaching Stingrays swimmers on to great success in the sport and in life.
