June 13, 2011
Thanks to all our volunteers that helped at the GA Long Course Meet this weekend. The meet ran smooth and by all accounts the other teams continue to be impressed with the way SCAT hosts and runs large invitationals.
It helped to have such a state-of-the-art facility, but the true test comes from the help of our parents and their volunteer efforts. I have reviewed the Job Sign Ups for the meet coming up this weekend and noticed that we are still short on timers. Please know that we will fill all timer slots first and then allocate our volunteers to other areas such as hospitality, runner, and/or head timer. We cannot start or run the meet without timers.
If you have not fulfilled your volunteer obligation for the 2010-11 season, this is your last opportunity. If you have not volunteered for 2 sessions at one of these two meets in June, your SCAT account will be assessed a $50 fee.
I would like to give a special thanks to those families that drove to GA Tech this weekend and helped us out even though you did NOT have a swimmer attending or competing! This demonstrates a real committment and it does not go unnoticed. Once again, we would also like to thank those families that volunteer over and above their two sessions. We appreciate your willingness to always pitch in and help out whenever and wherever is needed!
Please sign up soon and help us fill the timer positions needed to run a successful meet!
