Hello all Aquacowboys families, hopefully you are all having a great summer. Due to the time demands of my and Coach Lisa's summer schedule, we will not be doing a weekly update consistently until September, but I will try and connect with you all when time permits.
So far we have had a lot of great swimming this summer. Evan Carlo, Andrew Hayes, and Nina Hayes competed in the Santa Clara International meet with some of the most accomplished swimmers in the world, including Ryan Lochte, Michael Phelps, and Natalie Coughlin. We had some outstanding swims at Orinda with breakthroughs from Matthew Hayes making two new Far Western Times, Megan Fairbanks making her first ever PRT, Allie Clark making her first 13-14 Far Western, and Taylor Brennan dropping 6 seconds in a 50 fly (she must have kicked twice per stroke instead of once!!!). Haley Hamza dropped 14 seconds in the 100 fly and Trent Trump got four new best times. We are looking forward to a great JO meet with 19 swimmers qualified in individual events, and an awesome Sectionals with 7 swimmers qualified so far.
This Saturday the 2nd, there will be normal practice at LVTC from 7-9 for Juniors and Seniors. We will be in the water at 7.
On Monday the 4th, there will be practice from 7-10 am for Seniors and from 8-10 for Juniors with JO times. All other LAC swimmers will have Monday July 4th off. There will be no afternoon practice for LAC swimmers on July 4th.
Thank you all parent and swimmers for the dedication and enthusiasm you have shown this summer. Thank you LAC board for the great work you've done over the past year. Tom, Mark, Yayoi and Tina you have truly gone above and beyond the call of duty and have helped us achieve at a new level this year. We appreciate your awesome efforts. Welcome new board members, hopefully the next year will be a great experience for you. Thanks again to all Aquacowboy families for the wonderful support you give our team,
