GOAL finishes with a huge last relay at Sectionals top make top 3 (men's)

With a great team effort in the final relay, GOAL pulled out a 3rd place finish in the Men's standings at the Central Section Reg. 8 Championships earlier this evening in Columbia, MO.  They did so by placing 4th and 5th in the men's 400 Medley Relay with its A & B teams respectively, totaling 58 points in that relay event, giving GOAL 310 points for the meet.  Before that final relay, GOAL was just 14 points out of 3rd place in the men's standings, behind Rockwood Swim Club.  GOAL unofficially finished in 8th place in the overall team combined standings, it's highest finish ever at a Sectionals Meet.

GOAL's A Relay team swam a 3:58.70 and consisted of Andre Wilt (59.15 backstroke), Jacob Molacek (1:09.11 breaststroke), Andrew North (57.88 butterfly), and Ryan Miksch (52.56 freestyle).  The B Relay team swam a 4:00.04 and included Will Raynor (59.60 backstroke), Alex Penrice (1:09.48 breaststroke), Caleb Schuermann (58.38 butterfly), and Tom Gasnick (52.58 freestyle).  

Other swimmers scoring points tonight were:  Jacob Molacek (12th place 200 IM  2:13.66), Ryan Miksch (2nd place 50 free  23.97), Caleb Schuermann (6th place 50 free  24.18 (prelims)), Tom Gasnick (11th place  50 free  24.54), Andrew North (12th place  50 free  24.55).  Great job GOAL swimmers!
