Fun Run/Walk Information and Confirmation of Swimmers Coming

Below I am going to copy and paste an email from the event organizer as well as attach the route that we will be running/walking.  Yoy may also find the Route the kids are running - here.
Other than that I want to remind everyone to have their donations/pledge sheets in by Friday, October 28th.  Also, I would like to get a number of swimmers attending in order for Lori and I to make an accurate number of shirts for them for the race.  Please email me and let me know if your swimmer is attending and what size shirt to get them.

Hi All!

The 1000 Paper Cranes Fun Run/Walk fundraiser to benefit Kezia, Mike and Saoirse Fitzgerald is only days away!  Thank you very much for participating!  Please see important details below:

Event Date
Sunday, October 30, 2011

Parking is available in 3 locations:

1. Brickstone Square.  This is the largest lot available to us.  You can get directions to Brickstone Square here: 
2. Small municipal lot on Rt 28 at the corner of North Main Street (Rt 28) and Balmoral Street
3. Tactician Building at 305 North Main Street (Rt 28).  This lot is is our main gathering place.  Feel free to park here only if you are planning on staying for a while as we would like as few cars moving in/out during the event as possible.

Registration starts at 8:00 AM in the parking lot of the Tactician Building, 305 North Main Street (Rt 28), Andover.  Please check in at the registration table when you arrive.  All pre-registered participants get a t-shirt!  Extra t-shirts (if we have them) will be available for sale.

Start Time and Route
The Run/Walk starts at 9:00 AM.  If you are planning on running, please try to line up first so you can start ahead of the walkers.  This isnot a competitive timed race so please respect the speed of your fellow participants.  At the request of the Andover police department, please do not start before 9:00 AM.

The route (see attached map) will be marked by traffic cones and barriers, and staffed at busier intersections by the Andover police department.  Based on the number of expected participants, we have been given access to half of one traffic lane.  For your safety, please do not run/walk outside of the designated areas.  Give a hoot, don't pollute (along the route)!  We will have trash barrels set up at the start/finish area.

Silent Auction
We are hosting a silent auction the day of the event with 100% of the proceeds going to the Fitzgerald family.  We have many great items including Bruins tickets, gift baskets, artwork, yoga and martial arts memberships, and gift certificates from restaurants, salons, spas, and more!

The auction is also running online now through Sunday, October 30th.  If you see something you really like, you can purchase the item outright and we will remove it from the auction!  Please visit the online auction site here: fitzgerald&pwd=fundraiser
