USA Swimming National Team Member, Emily Brunemann, will be speaking to Manta Ray swimmers on Monday, November 7. Swimmers in SwimFit, Pups, White, Green, Blue, Bronze, Silver, and Gold can listen to her speak in the Senior Center from 6:15-7:00 PM. Swimmers in the Varsity, Platinum, and National groups can listen to her speak in the Senior Center from 7:00-7:45 PM. Emily has just won Gold medals in back-to-back FINA 10K World Cup races. Other highlights include:
Finished seventh in the 800m free at the 2011 ConocoPhillips National Championships ... Earned a bronze medal in the 10K open water event at the 2010 MOO Pan Pacific Championships ... placed ninth in the 5K at the 2009 FINA World Championships … won the 10K at the 2009 Open Water National Championships … finished fifth in the 800m free at the 2009 National Championships … won the 1650y free at the 2008 NCAA Championships.
All swimmers are encouraged to come out and listen to her presentations. She will also practice with the National group from 4-6 PM on Monday. We ask that you sign up for the event ahead of time, but drop-ins are welcome.
