The Wolverine Senior Girls Excelled this evening at the Section I Swimming Championships held in West Nyack.
Representing Rye High School - Sophomores Charlotte Nixon (Backstroke) and Kelly Delane (Fly) helped their 200 Medley Relay team qualify for the NY State Championship meet next weekend.
The same Dynamic Duo splashed in personal best performances - Kelly Delane (54.38) & Charlotte Nixon (55.15) earning their 400 Free relay team another spot on the Section I - NY State Qualifying Team.
Charlotte Nixon also qualified in the individual slashing 2 Seconds off her 100 Backstroke (100.18).
8th Grader, Nicole Parry representing Mamaroneck placed 9th place overall just missing the NY State Team in the 50 free. (25.26)
Freshman Tessa Garces, also representing Mamaroneck, splashed in with a personal best swim in the 100 fly, placing 13th with a time of (102.04)
Other Wolverine Sr. Girls excelling this week were: Nora McElroy & Taylor Emanuel representing Ursuline in the 400 Free Relay (5th Place) and 200 Free Relay (6th Place)
Nora also placed 17th in the 100 free.
