A word from Coach Josue

Wow, what a weekend.  Our PVAC frogs did an incredible job this past weekend braving the elements that we had.  Through cold rain, our swimmers still managed to improve times, and show the other swimmers we are here to compete.  We had many swimmers try their hand at their first meet at the Westside Meet or the Team Santa Monica Meet.  I want to give a round of applause to these swimmers.  The first meet can always be a scary one.  Not only did we have many experience their first meet but we were also able to do relays at both meets.

I want to personally congratulate Maddy Widmann for achieving her winter invite time at the Westside Meet.  Maddy has qualified for the 50 free.    Winter Invite will be held at Long Beach this year for PVAC.  I know many of our swimmers are on their way to achieving better times and we hope to have more qualifiers soon for this meet.  I welcome everybody to cheer on Maddy at the WAG meet as the family prepares for a new chapter in their life after the meet is over.  We will miss Maddy dearly but are excited for her as she continues her swimming in a different state.  Thank you Maddy for your dedication to PVAC.

Just a reminder as we head to Thanksgiving.  We will have our Black Friday Swim Workout once again.  This will be held at PV High from 9am – 11 am.  Come workout all the food you ate from the previous day.  Also, plan for December 21st, when we will have our Holiday Ice Skating Party.  Last, as we look towards the New Year, we will be hosting our annual swim meet on February 18-19, 2012.  We will need all parents to help with the meet.  This is also a mandatory meet for all our swimmers.  This meet will be held at PV high.

I hope everybody has a great Thanksgiving!
