Eight EBAT swimmers traveled to Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill to participate in Pacific Swimmings Senior Short Course Championships last weekend. The meet was open to swimmers who had senior 2 times or better. The weather was freezing on Saturday, but the EBAT swimmers battled hard and had some pretty good performances. Here are some highlights:
Carson Sand - Improved in his 200 free and 200 breast. Amanda Houston - came within .01 of a second from going under 1 minute in the 100 free. She also had a best time in the 500 free! Kate Miller - had a tough time battling the freezing weather but came back at the end of the meet on Sunday to swim a strong 500 free. Cassidy Rubino - showed up on Saturday and got a best time in the 2 free. Victor Deng - got best times in the 50 free and 100 back. Newton Tran - had a best time in the 50 free by almost 2 seconds and improved his 200IM time as well. Jasper Gong - got a best time in the 50 free, breaking into the 28's for the first time. The swimmer of the meet, however, has to be Andrew Dysico. Andrew swam 4 best times out of 5 swims! Great job Andrew!
Great Job to all the EBAT swimmers and parents who attended this meet as we know how cold it was. I'm looking forward to seeing how well we do at the Cal inivtational in January!
