Nationals Recap (RAYS TOP 10 in USA)

Nationals are over for 2008 and the RAYS had their best one yet. This years meet was fast, but our young group of swimmers stepped up to the challenge and swam great. It is a tribute to all our swimmers, staff & volunteers that make our organization one of the best in the USA.

The RAYS finished the USA Swimming 2008 Nationals with a 9th place finish, their 2nd straight top 10 finish. The Women finished 14th & the Men 25th.

Day 3: Kristine Polley finished 12th in the 200 BR and our Girls 400 Fr Relay placed 16th.

Day 2: Erin Reisinger had a superb day with a 7th place finish in the 100 Bk (53.87), 17th 100 Fly and she also swam the Bk leg of the girls 200 Medley Relay that finished 15th. Bryan Lundquist placed 17th in the 100 Bk.

Day 1: The RAYS had some superb swims on day 1 at Nationals. The Girls 200 Fr Relay finished 12th overall with a 1:34.4 (Bosma 23.89, Cieselski 23.75, Polley 23.70, Reisinger 22.74) - All best times. Samantha Bosma’s lead off split was a Nationals QT.

Erin placed 22nd in the womens 50 Fr 23.19 and Bryan Lundquist was 9th in the 50 Fr with a 19.7

Finally the 400 medley relay posted a 3:48 (Reisinger 54.4, Polley 1:04.0, Bosma 56.5, Cieselski 53.4) to get the Summer Nationals QT.
