DCST Welcomes back High School Boy Swimmers (4 Qualified for IHSA State Meet)

                DCST would like to welcome back many of our high school aged boy swimmers who have been swimming with their high school teams.  These boys just finished a very successful high school season.  Overall, DCST had 12 boys represent 5 different high schools at 4 different sectional meets.  Listed below are some of the highlights of the sectional and state swimmers from DCST.

Algonquin (Jacobs) – Josh DeDina represented the Algonquin Jacobs team, and he qualified for the IHSA State Meet in both of his individual events (200 IM and 100 Breaststroke).  He also qualified for the State Meet on their 200 Medley and 200 Free Relays.  His team was 4th at the Lincolnshire Sectional Meet.

DeKalb / Sycamore Co-op– Six girls on the DeKalb / Sycamore Sectional team are DCST swimmers (Michael Carlson, Marc Dubrick, Kei Ishimaru, Ryan Lindsey, Dylan Powers and Ryan Schultz).   As a team, they finished 3rd at the St. Charles Sectional Meet.  Ishimaru and Schultz qualified for the State Meet.  Ishimaru made it in both the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly, while Schultz qualified in the 100 Breaststroke.

Kaneland- Ty Ament, Phillip Cutsinger and Shane Fergus represented Kaneland High School.  There team was not allowed to score points at the St. Charles Sectional Meet.

Marmion – Jack Fergus qualified for IHSA State Meet in the 100 yard Backstroke.  His team took 7th place at the Metea (Aurora) Sectional Meet.

 Wheaton Academy – Carson Rose represented Wheaton Academy.  His team was not allowed to score points at the Elmhurst Sectional Meet
